History

The Joe Cropper band was a band that lasted about 2 years and played a handfull of shows with Vernon. A blend of hardcore punk, funk and rock, kind of a mix of Dead Kennedys and Primus. Their message centered around raising awareness of Bush's flaws, Nike's flaws, the merger of AOL-Time-Warner, the separation of church and state, the flaws of modern hunting, militiary recruitment, capitalist slavery, drug abuse....

"Go to college and get a job, your imagination we'll destroy your consciousness we'll rob, in return we'll give you a house and a car, de-humanizing t.v. and question killing bars."

"They have enough money to give some to godsmack so ignorant kids think war is cool, nothing will change 'till we all work together our species wont survive this way..."

"If you knew you would die in a week would you live the same, if not, whose life are you living now?"

Operating out of their fortified stronghold on first street in Waterloo, members consisted of Colin Luce/drums, Jon Butler/guitar,vox, Jason Bute/Guitar,vox, Chip/Bass,vox. They produced one self-released album with the help of neighborhood kids and the members eventually went on to from bands like Grandma's Old Fashioned Jam, In Love in San Miguel, Hey You Bitches and Where U Sleepin.
