Fun, fun, fun. Non-stop excitement is what you'll get with every performance. Whether they're opening for bands like the Frogs, or playing someone's birthday party. You never know what you'll get, but I guarantee you'll never forget The Eggnogs!
Formed in Ottumwa, IA in the mid-90s from members of Yellow 5 and Rusty Metal Primer, The Eggnogs soon established themselves as one of Iowa’s hardest working and most idiosyncratic rock bands. After an output of only 2 proper releases you ARE special and Hot Caulk but more improper releases including Look Who’s Licking Loneliness, Oh, By The Way, I’m A Lesbian, Poo… and Live At Sal’s. When drummer, j-sun, and brother bassist Spooty, met guitarist, Samb Locke, at a local show, it was a match made in heaven. In the short time that they have been together, they have played a barrage of shows, from established clubs to small house parties, these guys have established themselves as one of Iowa's hardest working rock bands. They disbanded and have not been hear from since May 2002.
Since The Eggnogs, The Bolinger brothers played together as a two-piece for a time called Zach’s Amazing Head Wound, and the indomitable Locke moved on to Miracles of God, The Kickass Tarantulas, and his various punk-folk solo projects as Samuel Locke-Ward. Josh Bolinger has since focused on his sub-B-movie company Prescribed Films, while Jason has kept busy with operating Flipside, a tattoo/piercing shop and all-ages venue, and as a member of She Swings, She Sways and occasional fill-in drummer for The Slats.

Lore
- The arch rivals of the Eggnogs were The Sno-Mans. The bands often found themselves on the same bill, often fist fights broke out in the middle of performances.
