The Dangtrippers
From The Secret History of the Cedar Valley
History
The Dangtrippers were a popular band from Iowa City that flourished in the late 80's and early 90's. They released two full-length Lp's, "Days Between Stations"-dog gone records '88, and "Transparent Blue Illusion"-zero hour records '90, plus several 7-inch and 12-inch singles.
The "Road Kings" of the Mid-West, they attended many NMS in cities like, New york, Chicago, and Austin, not to mention hundreds of shows from the eastern seaboard, to the far reaches of the Mid-West, all the way north to places like Manitoba, Canada.
They disbanded around early 1992, with a reunion show in 1994. Let's hope for another one.
