From The Secret History of the Cedar Valley

What an unbelievable shame it is that this fantastic place is gone. There was always such a great vibe and energy to go with the mostly great bands that played there. I'll always remember winter HOLS shows with the steamy windows overlooking The Hill, and all-around good guy Sherm recommending a tasty new micro-brew. I now live in a metropolitan area of 4 million people, and there is no live venue here that matches the atmosphere of Steb's. Its destruction by thoughtless greed was the beginning of the end for the College Hill District.
