History
Suave Frog was a musical poetry band from Cedar Falls, active from 1996 to 1998. The formation of the band was inspired by the Mike Myers film "So I Married an Axe Murderer." Their songs featured original poems performed over a semi-improvised, jazz-influenced instrumental backdrop. "The Official," their most popular composition, traced the development of an abused and disrespected sports referree from frustration to anger to mental disturbance.
