Orgionally known as Recoil the band had to change thier name when they discovered Recoil was owned by the singer from Depeshce Mode. After settling on Stick-up Nickel the band continued to do well playing packed shows at every available venue in town. Stick-up Nickel played Stebs twice a month and had bands like Druel and The Goodyear Pimps opening for them. Kevin joined the army leaving Toni to tow the vocal line by himself. After a while the band got sick of this and brought in Ben for a more hard edge vocal sound. Jacob was not down with this so he left the band and months later Toni left the band so they could go in an all metal dirrection. Since the split Teel and Boeke had a short-lived rap project called the D.L. Toni currently produces tracks under the moniker 'Mumraw'.
