My Mentor Al

History
My Mentor Al started when Stacy Peck and Matthew McGuire wanted to be in a band. Maybe there weren't a lot of shows going on. People wanted something to do. Maybe they asked Chuck Hoffman first. The first thing Leah said was to be the band name and the first thing she said was "My Mentor Al." Later, Leah and Chuck got married.
Steve Wilson and Joe Riehle and sometimes Mike Hays joined the group then, because Joe lived in the trailer and Steve was good friends with everyone and Mike Hays was handsome and people enjoy looking at handsome men.
They recorded many songs and then it came to pass that there was a John Lennon tribute show at the now defunct Steb's because John Lennon died. The band, My Mentor Al, played three songs there. The three songs were, "Paperback Writer," "Instant Karma" (featuring Chuck Hoffman,) and "Ticket to Ride." Later, the band disappeared, or rather, Mike Hays was already gone and Steve and Joe left. So, the folks remaining formed E.D.I.T.H..
At the big John Lennon show, there was a tribute stick which featured a whistle, a tamborine, and another tamborine.
My master knew.... The Eye.
My master knew.... The snake.
My master knew.... The BIRD
My master knew.... The hand.
