History
In the beginning, there was Don Colton (drums) and Jon Chamberlain (guitars). Frustrated with the lack of musical expression in local cover bands, the two decided to assemble what would ultimately become Measure. After an anxious and trying year, Measure truly came to bloom with the arrival of vocalist Amy Gustafson. Throughout the following year the three carefully crafted and developed an impressive repertoire of original material, all the while seeking a qualified bass player. The missing link was found with the arrival of Bret Miller.
For the audience, Measure presents a captivating live show loaded with well-written and well-performed originals and a sprinkling of select cover tunes thrown in for good measure! The listener will experience a dynamic combination of music, style, and tempo throughout Measure's show. The paramount quality of Measure is their powerful delivery of unique pop inflected, indie-rock which will leave the audience not only with a lasting impression, but begging for more.
The Fifth Member of Measure
The unofficial "fifth member" of Measure was designer Dana Lechtenberg, who designed a striking series of memorable show flyers for Measure, along with the designs for their CD packaging.
