KUNI is a radio station run by the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
Many KUNI DJs throughout the years (Bob Dorr, Al Schares, Paul Stanard, Dave Deibler) have focused on underground music and local bands through shows like Progression, Down on the Corner, and The Underground Hour.
