A musician and artist from Cedar Falls. See Also Bogaslaw and A Jeff

When Jeff Moravec started playing music, he brought the same self-motivation and attention to detail that made his visual art so astounding. The flip side of his perfectionism and committment to quality was that very little of his music was ever deemed finished. Thus, for much of his time in Cedar Falls, his music was only heard in various "unfinished" stages by close friends.

It was not until what was popularly called The Circus that Boguslaw came out of the basement and into the public music scene. The result was highly entertaining; Jeff's personal vision and motivation mixed with the everyone plays/everyone wins ideal of the time to create a concoction of crazy characters made palatable by the sadness of fading anachronism. Despite this, it should be noted that The Spectacle's double album remains "unfinished."

Jeff continues to play music and make unfinished albums in Oakland, California. Some highlights that have made their way back down the Cedar Falls pipe include the character-based Tom Jones/Neil Diamond inspired Lambert Schlampy, a highly personal solo album, and a flattering tribute album to Joe Riehle.
