History
(1997-present)
INFANDOUS started in 1997. The band formed as Luke Sires on drums, John Sires on Guitar/vocals, and Preston Werner on bass/vocals. We were influenced by Nirvana. We played a couple shows in the Cedar Valley, but were never really noticed. Then we won a battle of the bands in Cedar Rapids and that changed everything in the area for us. We started getting kids at our shows. We won recording time and put out a 5 song demo that the kids seemed to like.
In 2001 Preston had to leave the band. We came across an old friend Chad. He took over bass and vocal duties. We started touring in 2002 with the 5 song demo we put out with Preston. We had a great time, but we were not taking it really serious yet. Our bass player was more of a “fill in” than an actual member. My brother and I were the band. We wrote everything and did everything for the band outside of shows and practicing.
In 2005 we released our first full length CD “tomorrow we start the hard stuff”. So between 2002 and 2004 we had toured 4 times. Nice little tours to get experience and to want to do it more and more. The CD sold great then and is still selling great. We had Chad leave the band at the end of a tour in June of 2005 because he just couldn’t keep up with a band that is trying to take it to the national level. In July of 2005 we got our friend Mitch Henson to play bass and our other friend Randal Rogers to take over the vocals.
In May of 2006 we added Ben Lynn on to bass and Mitch moved to guitar. Now we are in the process of trying to tour as much as possible and make the band as big as we can. We scored a huge break when we landed a great deal with a marketing firm from Cleveland, Hardcore Marketing INC. They set us up with producer Don Debiase ( Metal Blade, Victory). And now we are in the process of recording a 6 song demo to shop to every big time label out there.
