From The Secret History of the Cedar Valley
History
Formed after the demise of Sender/Receiver. Hugs played their first shows in late 2002/early 2003. They put out a self-released, hand-screened, clear vinyl, one-sided 12" in August 2003. Their only full-lenth, The Tarpit, came out on Waking Records in July of 2004. It was recorded in March of that year at Mike Lust's Phantom Manor studios in Chicago. They toured nationally with the Fiction in 2004, but broke up later that same year. 3/4 went on to play in Raccoo-oo-oon with Daren Ho.
