History
Experimental Mind Therapy started off as the first solo project for Gabriel Wilkinson. The first appearance of the EMT was a cassette demo recorded by Cory Carney of Apathy Fix in Clear Lake Iowa at Cory's home studio. After Gabriel joined Smakdab he put EMT on hold for a number of years until he felt it was time to bring those songs back to the public. After leaving both Smakdab then Desolut!on Gabriel put a live band together for EMT.
EMT had some success playing with national and regional acts like Cattle Decapitation, 12 Stones, Anyone, Bemis, Eight Stops Seven, Pomeroy and a host of local bands as well as a few out of town gigs. Due to some tension in the band Gabriel left EMT to start Microwaved but the band carried on for a year or so with out him. EMT's sound could best be described as Indusrial Metal.
