- Clair Clarke was one of my early punk rock heroes. I met him when I was 14 years old with a group of friends after hearing his loud cacophonous guitar-playing from outside his apartment. After knocking on his door, he graciously invited us in and gave us an impromptu guitar lesson, showing us the basic rock power chord and most memorably, how to make and controll guitar feedback. He was playing a Fender Mustang through a little Fender amp. - Matt Wilson
