"Broken Arms was born in Janurary of 2004 out of the stinking sludge known as the central Iowa music scene (just kidding, Slipknot rules). From the beginning, the quartet was infused with a natural instinct for the rich tapestry that is Iowa punk rock. Jesse, Tyler, Greg and Aaron have created a unique blend of hard rock, old-school hardcore, potty talk and politics. The style can only be described as progressive punk, or "progunk" as the band likes to say. They played their first show on June 29th and have been a staple of the Cedar Falls punk scene ever since." -Broken Arms website
