"I played bass for 149 Dead Marines. I replaced original bassist Ben Gilchrist. Other members; Original singer Rich Eitcher, guitarist Mike Whitney and a long list of drummers. We we're the first IC punk band to go on tour opening for bands including The Subhumans, The Offenders, Die Kruezen ect. We put out a few cassette releases. Rich left the band and Mike took over on vox with new drummer Rick Marlette. After some musical differences emerged I left and original bassist Ben came back for a short ill fated tour. Ben was also in another band; The Jonestown 4 (an interesting 60's style garage punk band).I have some very strange but true stories about my days in 149 DM that can be read in my upcoming book "psycho ward". "
